About this place

Known to many as the real catalan capital, Girona has the magic of a large city and the charm of a small town. The old Medieval district with its dark narrow streets and impressive cathedral will make you feel like you’re in a fairytale.

What to do

• Go up the bell tower of Sant Feliu for a panoramic view of the whole city.
• Walk the city walls known as the Passeig de la Muralla.
• Walk through the Devesa Park. It’s like an organized forest.
• Go to the The Museum of Cinema or the Museum of Jewish History.
• Kiss the lion’s bottom- apparently it’s good luck! 

Where to go

• Stop at one of the many bridges on the Onyar River to look at the patchwork of colorful houses.
• The Pont de Ferro - was made by Mr Gustave Eiffel.
• Head to the Gothic Cathedral and relive your favorite Game of Thrones scenes. Yup, it was shot here!

Where to eat

• Yes, Celler Can Roca will be impossible to get into, but the brother’s mother has a restaurant on the same street. Go there instead. It’s affordable and is what inspired the Chefs to create the best restaurant in the world down the road.
• Upscale & traditional- L’Alqueria
• Get an ice cream at Rocambolesc (a parlor made by the famous pastry Chef Jordi Roca)
• Try and snag an outdoor table at Cafe Le Bistrot for a coffee. The atmosphere is incredible.
• We love La Terra for getting a drink and playing some cards with your mates. Try and snag a window table overlooking the river :)

Top Tip

If you’re feeling a bit landlocked and can’t bear the summer heat you can take a 30 min. bus ride (TEISA bus) to the Banyoles lake for a dip. It’s beautiful!
