What to do

You know, Tossa isn’t just about a nice beach. It has so many remote corners that are less popular, but just as beautiful. 

In Catalan food, there's a popular juxtaposition of mar y montanya (literally translated, sea and mountain), or as we call it "surf and turf". And it probably was inspired by places like Tossa, where you have the best of both worlds. 

In this off-road excursion you can escape into nature and discover the inland "montaña" side of Tossa, since you're probably pretty well versed on the "mar" part by now ;)

You'll whip through sites like The Hermitage of Mare de Déu de Gràcia and Sa Creu de Fusta and stop halfway at the historical hermitage of Sant Grau, because who doesn't love learning a little bit of history?! You can get a snack and drink at their little bar (sidenote: if "chiringuito" means beach bar, what's the equivalent for mountain bar?!). Then you'll finish the tour and head to the highest point in the area with spectacular panoramic views at Puig de Ses Cadiretes.
