Lights, Camera, Action! This statue in the heart of Tossa’s Vila Vella is a tribute to the 1950 hollywood movie starring Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra, "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman" and was what put Tossa on the map as a dreamy holiday destination. With a country still licking their wounds in the post-war period, the town really appreciated the film making Tossa known to the world, so much so that they created a statue to commemorate it.

Top Tip

At the pastry shop "Can Thomas" you'll see in the window a vintage photo of Ava Gardner holding a tray of the town's traditional desserts.
