Passeig de Gracia is Barcelona’s backbone and where important families in the late 1800’s started to set up homes. This is one of them that was built as an ordinary apartment block during that time and was later remodelled into impressive modern masterpieces by architect Antoni Gaudi for the Batlló family who gave him full creative freedom. And clearly he didn’t take that lightly… It was one of the most extreme architectural makeovers ever seen.

Top Tip

Go first thing in the morning on a weekday ;) There are less tourists. And if you’re hungry before or after the tour, go to Cerveceria Catalana to eat some delicious tapas right around the corner (there will be a long wait to get a table so try to steal a spot at the bar entrance)
